October 2004 Open House @ Station 1. Kids visit with Sparky the Fire Dog, toured the Smoke House, learning how to check for hot doors and find their way out in the smoke filled environment. Everyone enjoyed lemonade and hotdogs as they checked out the firetrucks and visited with the firefighgers. |

The Smoke House trailer is a minaturized home providing hands on safety training for kitchen safety, smoke filled room escapes, and fire escape exits from bedroom windows in addition to many other things. The Smoke House was purchased with donations from the businesses and citizens of San Marcos.
