John Thomaides was elected to a three year term on the San Marcos City Council at a run-off election held Dec. 13, 2011 and took the oath of office on Dec. 21, 201. He was first elected in 2003 to the San Marcos City Council and re-elected in 2005 and 2008 to Place 6.
