City Council Adopts New Community Brand
The San Marcos City Council voted unanimously to adopt a community brand Tuesday effective September 21 to help market San Marcos for economic development, tourism, community organizations, activities and special events.

Council Begins Budget Discussions
Interim City Manager Laurie Moyer has presented a proposed budget totaling $145.3 million for Fiscal Year 2011, or $829,000 less than the FY 2010 annual budget. The 2011 budget maintains service and staffing levels. A public hearing on the budget will be held Sept. 7 with final adoption slated Sept. 21.
